Candidates for Full Participation
This program focuses on preparation for adults interested in membership in the Catholic Faith who have already been baptized in another Christian denomination. Although there are several exceptions, the Church accepts baptism as long as it occurred with water in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. A catechist works with the adult until the catechist and the individual are satisfied that the candidate is ready. At a Sunday Mass, the candidate proclaims their belief in all that the Catholic Church believes and proclaims to be truth. At that Mass the individual receives the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

RCIA for Adults (Ages 18+)
Preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation of adults includes instruction, reflection and discussion of basic beliefs of the Catholic Faith. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) introduces adults through the steps of Inquirer, Catechumen, Elect, and Neophyte to the liturgical richness of the church in the Rite of Acceptance, the Rite of Election, the Sundays of the Scrutinies, and climaxes in initiation at the Easter Vigil.

Children are catechized to understand the role of Jesus in their lives. During RCIA for children, the child has the experience of dismissal after the Liturgy of the Word and the Rites of Acceptance, Election, the Sundays of the Scrutinies, and reception of the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil.

Baptism Preparation Ministry
Formation sessions are required for parents and godparents before the Baptism of a child. An effort is made to ensure that parents understand the grace of this Sacrament they are asking for their child. Spiritual development of the child by the parents is also a part of this formation process. Volunteers, especially parents who have been through this experience, are always welcome to assist with this ministry.
